Getting to know me Part 2

We are back for another Confessional Friday with a Blonde Ambition! I really enjoyed the last one and thought I would partake on the next one!

1. What's your middle name? Louise - Passed down through my father's mother. I love it. It sounds very southern (I think) and has charm. :) Side note: For the longest, as in years, I couldn't spell it. Not until about 5th grade did I get that middle name spelling down!

2. If you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live?

Oh gosh! It's sounds lamesauce, but I really love where I live. I am about a 2 minute walk to the sand and it's heaven....

It wouldn't be so much a place rather than a setting that I would ideally want... In Orange County, we live on tiny little lots and no space to breath. Probably because the land is super expensive... Either way, I wish that my boo and I lived on a place with land and fences. Maybe horses and a barn. I would just love that. Close to a small town.... but far enough away. And a wrap around porch. There is nothing like that here in Orange County and I would give anything for that style home and land.

Something like this....

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures.

Hmmmm, ok this is probably going to be super random, but I love getting home, putting on my fiance's big shirt, and curling up on the couch (lately) with a heating pad on my back. I love passing out on the couch for afternoon naps... whenever that may be. I also love eating mexican food at our favorite place across of the beach... Home Goods... I love me some Home Goods.

4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued?

Right now, the best part of my job, honestly, is how good at it I am...I work in human trafficking... and being that it is a hot topic right now, I can honestly say, I know a crap ton about human trafficking. I have been to trainings with the FBI, Office of Victims of Crime, LA District Attorney's Office, Office of the CA Attorney General, and have worked in this field for nearly four years and previous 6 years of law enforcement experience. blah blah... I know my stuff. LOL  As far as another job.... I would love to own a flower shop or a cupcake shop. I know it probably wouldn't do well... Maybe even a surf shop with my boo. That would be fun too!

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire. (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.)
In no particular ranking order.... My baby blanket (don't judge!), pictures of my mom laying with her old German Shepard, picture of my dad working in the late 70's as an air traffic controller at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, picture of my grandma and grandpa on their wedding day, and my box of letters from my fiance that he's written to me over time. (I am assuming that my engagement ring and my grandfather's ring, that I wear everyday anyways, are all on my fingers....)

6. Marathon running...something you'd like to pursue or just plain crazy?

Hell, no..... I am so proud of my friends that have accomplished this. I think it is so impressive, but I have an auto-immune disease known as Lupus that would prevent me from doing anything like this...

I do love me a little 5k. Those I can handle and let's be real... t-shirts and medals. :)

7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mom's artichokes. No joke.

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd....go!

My favorite man! He just called to tell me he's going shooting for work right now. :)

9. Favorite childhood toy

My German dollhouse.... it was an old victorian style home and I just loved it. Hours, I tell you, hours I played with that thing.

10. Breakfast cereal of choice

Changes all the time but my top three are: Crackl'n Oatbran, Smart Start, and Cherrios

  1. My middle name is Louise also! Passed down through the females on my moms side. I also could not spell it until I was a bit older :) Human Trafficking - I cannot image being bored with that job! Seems like it would be very rewarding.

    1. Who woulda thought that Louise would be so difficult to spell! LOL Glad we share the same difficulty with it! :) Yes, human trafficking is very rewarding. I am lucky to work in a field that I am so passionate about.
