Wedding Wednesday!

Ok.... Where shall we start!!

Let's see... We have exactly 185 days till the big day. That may seem like forever but let's be real. It's 6 months from now almost to the day! EEEEP!

Yesterday, I got my shoes in the mail. I ordered them online with a 'test run' in mind. Meaning, if I absolutely hated them... Just return and try again. Well, to my surprise, I actually loved them! They are actually a replica-design of the Bagley Mischka Wedding shoes I wanted. See Below

And these are the ones that I purchased. Which I have to say, I think I might actually like better. Especially, the price tag!!!

They fit really well and look sooo cute. The flower on top is a perfect little touch.

I am thinking of getting sparkly flats for reception? Any thoughts? Unnecessary?

Things we have booked! (yay!)

-Location (obviously)
- Videographer
-Catering
-Music (both ceremony and reception)
-Cake/Cupcake people
-Boudoir photoshoot (shuuuu! ;) )
- officiant
-flowers

Well that made me feel like we don't have much done, but it feels like we've done alot... If that makes sense!

Things we need to do!
- photographer
-hairstylist
-makeup artist
- transportation to/from
-Honeymoon!

I also have been working with a florist on flowers! Here's a bunch of my favorites! (Off Pinterest, obviously!)

Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Weekend Recap!

Hello lovies

It's Monday, and I am dreading this work week. I want it to be over and it's barely started at all. This could be do to the fact that I have a pending new job in the works. (Can't get too excited about it yet) and I am just currently in a plateau of blah with my current work assignments. Any one else feel this way?

Saturday, we spent it at the vet making sure Sir Champsky was feeling ok. Turns out, he has an ear infection, allergic to fleas? (allergic? like really?) and needed to have his butt glands cleaned. Do not google that last part. It's horrific. lol Andy and I ended our vet event with TK Burger and relaxing at home. (Yes, it was like 74 degrees on Saturday in Cali - be jealous, be very jealous hehehe)

My parents and Andy ended up going to Lucielle's BBQ for dinner on Saturday and boy was it delicious! Let it be known, I love the south... if I could get up and move to a more southern state, I would. I love the idea of living in Lexington, Kentucky or just outside Nashville Tennessee.... ahhhh to dream....  but southern food including watermelon ice tea! mmmmmmmmm

Sunday, we spent time with our friends and their 2 year old. We went and saw the Lego movie.... Ladies, it's so good. I loved it. I am a fan of animated movies, especially pixar, and this was right up there with the best of them!

Forecast for the week!

- Tune Tuesday
- Wedding Wednesday
- Photo-shoot on Friday!

Confessional Friday - Post #2 for today!

I think I just need to watch a good pixar movie....

Also, I know I usually only post once a day, but I just wanted to join in and do the Confessional Friday Thang.

So let's get with it shall we.

1. I confess that I have a mound of clothes next to my bed that my fiance is getting very tired of seeing. (He likes clean. like alot) I will clean it up when I get home... maybe. LOL

2. I confess that I am terrible at listening to voicemails. I know this is true for lots of people. But I am bad. I think I have 32 voicemails that haven't been listened. Just text me people. Or call and I will call you right back.

3. I confess that I need to eat more leafy greens. Just feel blah lately... I need more kale, spinach or red leaf lettuce... anything.

4. I confess that I am overwhelmed by the wedding. That's a whole post in itself!

5. I also confess that I am in dire need of cleaning out my car. I am pretty sure I have about 4 pairs of heels in the trunk.... and a bathing suite... and human trafficking training dvd's.... Please don't judge.

6. I confess that I am really, really ready for warm weather. I know, I am from California and do not really get a winter anyways... but I am ready for sun, swimming and being at the beach!

7. I confess that I get pretty dang sad on Friday nights when my fiance works really late. He's in a scary profession and when he works late, I worry more. I read books on coping with this... but it's still difficult. I am suppose to have a schedule already set with activities... I hope this isn't come off pathetic.

8. Last but not least, I confess that I have cried ohhhh about 5 times this week. like sobbed. and I rarely cry.... le sigh.

That's it ladyloves!

For real now, have a wonderful weekend.

Yes, yes yes! It is Friday

You know how some weeks just feel absolutely too long? Even though this week I had Monday day off, I still felt as if this week last forever. It was terrible. It also could have been that I had lots of work meetings and just feel quite overwhelmed about life including heartbroken.

My puppy of 15 years passed away the other day. Yes, our beloved Meatball... She was the prettiest, most loving black lab you'd ever meet. She would play hide and go seek with me, lots of kisses and bark at cats. I loved her so much, but I know that she is resting peacefully and not hurting anymore. But I just miss her. Alot.

RIP Maya Meatball - January 31, 1999 - February 19, 2014

"Oh Maya Meaty whatta Meatball"

Nothing too crazy planned for the weekend. Probably quite a few projects for the wedding and resting. I need to sleep. lol

Have a wonderful weekend!

As promised! Cupid Panty Party

I know on Mondays, errr Tuesdays or whenever my week begins I usually do a recap of the weekend activities. Today, I wanted to recap on the Cupid Panty Party that I hosted at my house for my girlfriends, 17 girlfriends.... It was amazing... Let's just say, I have the best fiance that not only helped me get ready, watched our crazy bulldog while the party was going on... but also helped cleaned up. Amazing man, I tell you.

Our apartment isn't the biggest, we like to think it's because we live a block from the beautiful ocean. So I am quite amazed that we were able to fit this many girls inside my house. This was after a few cancellations as well!

Just like a white elephant gift exchange, we gathered numbers, tore them up and threw them in this bag Skye had... Then everyone that brought panties grabbed a number 1-17....

About an hour later, lots of giggles and stealing back and forth of panties, we all had our new goodies!

Snow White panties were just a few of the cute ones that were presented!

Mandatory picture of all of us putting on said panties. Clearly we are victoria secret models.

I love valentines day! All decor was on sale or purchased at the 99 cent store. Let's be real girls, you can have a fabulous party and not spend too much mulla!

Skye made chocolate martini's and we had other munchies that ladies brought. Overall, one of the best get togethers we've had... total success!

Oh and we played the movie "Valentine's Day" in the background and Taylor Swift on my baby Juke box!

Weekend Recap!

Here we are! Another Manic Monday! Today, I will be driving down to San Diego to give a 2 hour presentation on human trafficking with one of my grad school besties, Crystal. We just happen to go to USC together and work in the same field. Excuse to hang with this gal is fantastic idea to me!

Friday -

Once again, Fish Camp... I feel like a post should be done on this place, but it's just heaven. Here's a few pictures for reference. Mom, Dad and I went on Friday night again. I always get the swordfish, zuccini and fries. mmmmmm.

Saturday morning, Andy and I went to breakfast at our favorite, well maybe my favorite breakfast place... Old Town Cafe in Seal Beach. It's so good and the people that work there are so friendly. I just love it. Oh, and I was woken up with this beautiful surprise! Lucky girl, I am!

All pink ;) I think this would be gorgeous for the wedding!

I then had my cousin's baby shower on Sunday. I attempted a diaper cake. never. never. never again. Too labor intensive I believe. It was so cute having Andy help me roll the tiny diapers though. My cousin loved it and I had a great time with my family.

Sunday night, I was pooped... Fell asleep on the couch, watch a wee bit of Olympics. We had pizza for dinner and before we knew it.... passed out asleep.

Great weekend in the books if you ask me, nothing too crazy.

Things coming up!!

- Two(2) photoshoots!!!
- Cupid Panty Party (This weekend!)
- Valentine's Day celebration!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Getting to know me Part 2

We are back for another Confessional Friday with a Blonde Ambition! I really enjoyed the last one and thought I would partake on the next one!

1. What's your middle name? Louise - Passed down through my father's mother. I love it. It sounds very southern (I think) and has charm. :) Side note: For the longest, as in years, I couldn't spell it. Not until about 5th grade did I get that middle name spelling down!

2. If you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live?

Oh gosh! It's sounds lamesauce, but I really love where I live. I am about a 2 minute walk to the sand and it's heaven....

It wouldn't be so much a place rather than a setting that I would ideally want... In Orange County, we live on tiny little lots and no space to breath. Probably because the land is super expensive... Either way, I wish that my boo and I lived on a place with land and fences. Maybe horses and a barn. I would just love that. Close to a small town.... but far enough away. And a wrap around porch. There is nothing like that here in Orange County and I would give anything for that style home and land.

Something like this....

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures.

Hmmmm, ok this is probably going to be super random, but I love getting home, putting on my fiance's big shirt, and curling up on the couch (lately) with a heating pad on my back. I love passing out on the couch for afternoon naps... whenever that may be. I also love eating mexican food at our favorite place across of the beach... Home Goods... I love me some Home Goods.

4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued?

Right now, the best part of my job, honestly, is how good at it I am...I work in human trafficking... and being that it is a hot topic right now, I can honestly say, I know a crap ton about human trafficking. I have been to trainings with the FBI, Office of Victims of Crime, LA District Attorney's Office, Office of the CA Attorney General, and have worked in this field for nearly four years and previous 6 years of law enforcement experience. blah blah... I know my stuff. LOL  As far as another job.... I would love to own a flower shop or a cupcake shop. I know it probably wouldn't do well... Maybe even a surf shop with my boo. That would be fun too!

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire. (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.)
In no particular ranking order.... My baby blanket (don't judge!), pictures of my mom laying with her old German Shepard, picture of my dad working in the late 70's as an air traffic controller at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, picture of my grandma and grandpa on their wedding day, and my box of letters from my fiance that he's written to me over time. (I am assuming that my engagement ring and my grandfather's ring, that I wear everyday anyways, are all on my fingers....)

6. Marathon running...something you'd like to pursue or just plain crazy?

Hell, no..... I am so proud of my friends that have accomplished this. I think it is so impressive, but I have an auto-immune disease known as Lupus that would prevent me from doing anything like this...

I do love me a little 5k. Those I can handle and let's be real... t-shirts and medals. :)

7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mom's artichokes. No joke.

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd....go!

My favorite man! He just called to tell me he's going shooting for work right now. :)

9. Favorite childhood toy

My German dollhouse.... it was an old victorian style home and I just loved it. Hours, I tell you, hours I played with that thing.

10. Breakfast cereal of choice

Changes all the time but my top three are: Crackl'n Oatbran, Smart Start, and Cherrios

Friends that turn into Family... Introduction to the Wedding Party!

Wedding Wednesday: I just thought that sounded appropriate. I am sure many other young blog ladies have done the same thing, but that is alright!

Ok, I thought I would introduce my favorite favorite lady friends who will be standing next to be on the big wedding day. I consider myself a very lucky person to have such amazing people in my life. I think it is true that the people you surround yourself with can either bring you up or bring you down. It is absolutely not about the quantity of friends, it's the quality as cliche as it sounds.I think I am going to be an emotional wreck even before the wedding because of how much I love these ladies.  In case you were counting, 208 days. Ha! Here we go!

Michelle - Matron of Honor: aka bestie, partner, sidekick, best girl ever, help deliver both children of hers. No jokes. We may or may not have gone to Yearbook Camp at University of San Diego.... dance in through the Louvre in Paris, and went to the Musuem of Sex in New York. She is my sister and life would be a whole heck of a lot harder without her.

Bridesmaid #1 - Jennifer: Former figure skater, coworker, we are called the "twins" at work. Always has the best advice... way better than paying a psychologist and loves girly things just like me! We find ourselves talking over each with the exact same sentences.... just like twins. hehe!

Bridesmaid #2: Kristie - Former figure skater, childhood friend since we were 9 years old! Got married and sorta forgot to tell me ;) and loves black and white stripes! love her opinionated attitude!

I have quite a few of these kissie pics with her! LOL

Wedding day! (after she was already legally married - it works people!)

Night out being silly!

Bridesmaid #3 Marilyn - Former figure skater as well, dreamer and one of my sweetest friends. We once shared a room together and had two twin beds next to each other. Endless nights of giggles and being scared of a CD player... No joke.

Bridesmaid # 4 - Ashley Coleman - College BFFs, both work in law enforcement and love sparkles... We both have a love for really cute animals and love staying active. Both our future hubs are police officers.

Sad, I could only find one picture of us out! That's terrible... I know I have a ton somewhere! LOL

Bridesmaid #5 Elizabeth - We met through a figure skating friend while salsa dancing - follow me here... and she is an amazing opera singer! We love ourselves some hunter boots, traveling and a love for pretty thangs! ;)

Sad face again, that I only had this one picture.  I must find more!

I need happy, I need romantic, I need love, and I need it from you.... You need Jesus

Wow, Tuesday, February 4th and it's my first Valentine's Day post. That is a miracle because, let's be honest here, I love me some Valentine's Day. I know, I know... but it's a commercial holiday blah blah blah. Well, so be it... but I love, love and all things that go along with it including February 14th. Even when I was super single, still loved me this special day! I think we should all appreciate love in all of its forms. Because love is truly the best thing.

In theme mode here... below are a few of my favorite movies around love and a few inspiring pictures of love.

This year, besides smothering my man in kisses, I will be celebrating with a panty party with my girl friends. Yep, Cupid Panty Drop Party... More details on that later... For now, get inspired to spread the love!

The first and foremost. The Notebook. No explanation necessary.

And of course the classic "Dirty Dancing" Real Talk: Had no idea how strong of topic was presented in this movie oh maybe, until I was like 19.... I was a very naive young lady. But the dancing and the music...

This might not be one for some, but I loved the movie "Dear John" I had read the Nicholas Sparks book and loved it. I like Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum together. It's a quick, very romantic movie... I liked it!

I know my man is working that Friday night but I will be excited to spend time with him and celebrate love day!

What are your plans for Valentines Day?!

I will post pics from our Cupid Panty Party too!

Weekend Recap!

I feel like a broken record sometimes, but weekends just seem to fly by for us! It's like I get off work on Friday and bam! Monday is here! I have to say though, our weekend was a perfect mix of friends, family, and couch naps! Pretty dang wonderful if you ask me!

Friday night, on the way home from work I swung by my parents house to see our family dog, Meatball. It was her 15th Birthday, yes she is 15 years old! She's a black lab and has been our family favorite since I was a young teenager! I know we don't have much time with her left so I want to smother her with hugs and kisses.

Andy got home at a reasonable time and we decided to go line dancing at our favorite country bar. We only stayed for a little bit because Andy had to work early Saturday, but it was so much fun. It was so nice to two-step with my favorite man and line dance my little heart out.

Saturday, was lunch with mom and craft projects for the wedding. I am working on large mason jars turned into center pieces. So a part of that was spraying painting the mason jars to look silver/metal-ish looking. I thought they were going to turn out terrible, but Andy, my mom and myself thought they turned out alright. Stay tuned for "Crafts with Corrine" hahaha

Post crafts - Andy and I both just passed out on the couch for long naps. It was heavenly.

Saturday night and for Superbowl Sunday, my bestss Skye and I decided to make shirts. Any excuse for us to dress up and we are on it! We took basic white shirts from Hobby Lobby (around $5) and some puffy paint, ribbon and whatever else we found and tada! Seattle Seahawks shirts...

I must preface this by saying, both her and I do not follow sports... our men do. But we love to participate. We rooted for Seattle to win the SuperBowl because a. My future father in law lives in Seattle and b. Pete Carroll coached USC football where I went to school!

Oh and of course I made a shirt for Andy, such a trooper!

After the Super Bowl it rained! This is major for California right now. It was so nice to be warm in our house, curled up in a blanket, watching Breaking Bad (Andy and I just got into it) and hearing the rain outside. Perfect Sunday night if you ask me!

That's all loves!
