Getting to know me Part 2

We are back for another Confessional Friday with a Blonde Ambition! I really enjoyed the last one and thought I would partake on the next one!

1. What's your middle name? Louise - Passed down through my father's mother. I love it. It sounds very southern (I think) and has charm. :) Side note: For the longest, as in years, I couldn't spell it. Not until about 5th grade did I get that middle name spelling down!

2. If you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live?

Oh gosh! It's sounds lamesauce, but I really love where I live. I am about a 2 minute walk to the sand and it's heaven....

It wouldn't be so much a place rather than a setting that I would ideally want... In Orange County, we live on tiny little lots and no space to breath. Probably because the land is super expensive... Either way, I wish that my boo and I lived on a place with land and fences. Maybe horses and a barn. I would just love that. Close to a small town.... but far enough away. And a wrap around porch. There is nothing like that here in Orange County and I would give anything for that style home and land.

Something like this....

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures.

Hmmmm, ok this is probably going to be super random, but I love getting home, putting on my fiance's big shirt, and curling up on the couch (lately) with a heating pad on my back. I love passing out on the couch for afternoon naps... whenever that may be. I also love eating mexican food at our favorite place across of the beach... Home Goods... I love me some Home Goods.

4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued?

Right now, the best part of my job, honestly, is how good at it I am...I work in human trafficking... and being that it is a hot topic right now, I can honestly say, I know a crap ton about human trafficking. I have been to trainings with the FBI, Office of Victims of Crime, LA District Attorney's Office, Office of the CA Attorney General, and have worked in this field for nearly four years and previous 6 years of law enforcement experience. blah blah... I know my stuff. LOL  As far as another job.... I would love to own a flower shop or a cupcake shop. I know it probably wouldn't do well... Maybe even a surf shop with my boo. That would be fun too!

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire. (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.)
In no particular ranking order.... My baby blanket (don't judge!), pictures of my mom laying with her old German Shepard, picture of my dad working in the late 70's as an air traffic controller at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, picture of my grandma and grandpa on their wedding day, and my box of letters from my fiance that he's written to me over time. (I am assuming that my engagement ring and my grandfather's ring, that I wear everyday anyways, are all on my fingers....)

6. Marathon running...something you'd like to pursue or just plain crazy?

Hell, no..... I am so proud of my friends that have accomplished this. I think it is so impressive, but I have an auto-immune disease known as Lupus that would prevent me from doing anything like this...

I do love me a little 5k. Those I can handle and let's be real... t-shirts and medals. :)

7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mom's artichokes. No joke.

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd....go!

My favorite man! He just called to tell me he's going shooting for work right now. :)

9. Favorite childhood toy

My German dollhouse.... it was an old victorian style home and I just loved it. Hours, I tell you, hours I played with that thing.

10. Breakfast cereal of choice

Changes all the time but my top three are: Crackl'n Oatbran, Smart Start, and Cherrios

Friends that turn into Family... Introduction to the Wedding Party!

Wedding Wednesday: I just thought that sounded appropriate. I am sure many other young blog ladies have done the same thing, but that is alright!

Ok, I thought I would introduce my favorite favorite lady friends who will be standing next to be on the big wedding day. I consider myself a very lucky person to have such amazing people in my life. I think it is true that the people you surround yourself with can either bring you up or bring you down. It is absolutely not about the quantity of friends, it's the quality as cliche as it sounds.I think I am going to be an emotional wreck even before the wedding because of how much I love these ladies.  In case you were counting, 208 days. Ha! Here we go!

Michelle - Matron of Honor: aka bestie, partner, sidekick, best girl ever, help deliver both children of hers. No jokes. We may or may not have gone to Yearbook Camp at University of San Diego.... dance in through the Louvre in Paris, and went to the Musuem of Sex in New York. She is my sister and life would be a whole heck of a lot harder without her.

Bridesmaid #1 - Jennifer: Former figure skater, coworker, we are called the "twins" at work. Always has the best advice... way better than paying a psychologist and loves girly things just like me! We find ourselves talking over each with the exact same sentences.... just like twins. hehe!

Bridesmaid #2: Kristie - Former figure skater, childhood friend since we were 9 years old! Got married and sorta forgot to tell me ;) and loves black and white stripes! love her opinionated attitude!

I have quite a few of these kissie pics with her! LOL

Wedding day! (after she was already legally married - it works people!)

Night out being silly!

Bridesmaid #3 Marilyn - Former figure skater as well, dreamer and one of my sweetest friends. We once shared a room together and had two twin beds next to each other. Endless nights of giggles and being scared of a CD player... No joke.

Bridesmaid # 4 - Ashley Coleman - College BFFs, both work in law enforcement and love sparkles... We both have a love for really cute animals and love staying active. Both our future hubs are police officers.

Sad, I could only find one picture of us out! That's terrible... I know I have a ton somewhere! LOL

Bridesmaid #5 Elizabeth - We met through a figure skating friend while salsa dancing - follow me here... and she is an amazing opera singer! We love ourselves some hunter boots, traveling and a love for pretty thangs! ;)

Sad face again, that I only had this one picture.  I must find more!

I need happy, I need romantic, I need love, and I need it from you.... You need Jesus

Wow, Tuesday, February 4th and it's my first Valentine's Day post. That is a miracle because, let's be honest here, I love me some Valentine's Day. I know, I know... but it's a commercial holiday blah blah blah. Well, so be it... but I love, love and all things that go along with it including February 14th. Even when I was super single, still loved me this special day! I think we should all appreciate love in all of its forms. Because love is truly the best thing.

In theme mode here... below are a few of my favorite movies around love and a few inspiring pictures of love.

This year, besides smothering my man in kisses, I will be celebrating with a panty party with my girl friends. Yep, Cupid Panty Drop Party... More details on that later... For now, get inspired to spread the love!

The first and foremost. The Notebook. No explanation necessary.

And of course the classic "Dirty Dancing" Real Talk: Had no idea how strong of topic was presented in this movie oh maybe, until I was like 19.... I was a very naive young lady. But the dancing and the music...

This might not be one for some, but I loved the movie "Dear John" I had read the Nicholas Sparks book and loved it. I like Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum together. It's a quick, very romantic movie... I liked it!

I know my man is working that Friday night but I will be excited to spend time with him and celebrate love day!

What are your plans for Valentines Day?!

I will post pics from our Cupid Panty Party too!

Weekend Recap!

I feel like a broken record sometimes, but weekends just seem to fly by for us! It's like I get off work on Friday and bam! Monday is here! I have to say though, our weekend was a perfect mix of friends, family, and couch naps! Pretty dang wonderful if you ask me!

Friday night, on the way home from work I swung by my parents house to see our family dog, Meatball. It was her 15th Birthday, yes she is 15 years old! She's a black lab and has been our family favorite since I was a young teenager! I know we don't have much time with her left so I want to smother her with hugs and kisses.

Andy got home at a reasonable time and we decided to go line dancing at our favorite country bar. We only stayed for a little bit because Andy had to work early Saturday, but it was so much fun. It was so nice to two-step with my favorite man and line dance my little heart out.

Saturday, was lunch with mom and craft projects for the wedding. I am working on large mason jars turned into center pieces. So a part of that was spraying painting the mason jars to look silver/metal-ish looking. I thought they were going to turn out terrible, but Andy, my mom and myself thought they turned out alright. Stay tuned for "Crafts with Corrine" hahaha

Post crafts - Andy and I both just passed out on the couch for long naps. It was heavenly.

Saturday night and for Superbowl Sunday, my bestss Skye and I decided to make shirts. Any excuse for us to dress up and we are on it! We took basic white shirts from Hobby Lobby (around $5) and some puffy paint, ribbon and whatever else we found and tada! Seattle Seahawks shirts...

I must preface this by saying, both her and I do not follow sports... our men do. But we love to participate. We rooted for Seattle to win the SuperBowl because a. My future father in law lives in Seattle and b. Pete Carroll coached USC football where I went to school!

Oh and of course I made a shirt for Andy, such a trooper!

After the Super Bowl it rained! This is major for California right now. It was so nice to be warm in our house, curled up in a blanket, watching Breaking Bad (Andy and I just got into it) and hearing the rain outside. Perfect Sunday night if you ask me!

That's all loves!

Well, Hello There!

I thought it would be fun to join A Blonde Ambition in this little blog introduction! Especially since this bloggie is just a young, weeee one! So without further a-du!

My name is Corrine, late twenties engaged young lady, and I am from Southern California! Raised in the beautiful city of Huntington Beach and currently reside in a small town south of Long Beach and north of Huntington Beach... Gold star, if you can figure it out!

My hometown!

My current city... hehehe
(I live like 20 minutes away from the girls from Tone it up (Toned Up on Bravo)

I live with my adorable, sexy, handsome, funny, charming, intelligent.... oh well, you got it... fiance! We have an adorable bully child named Sir Champsky Williams....

Oh your photographer didn't tell you your shoe was falling off? Oh, because mine obviously never told me. That's another blog post!

I graduated from both Cal State Fullerton and University of Southern California with a bachelors and masters... Phew I am done!

I currently work in human trafficking for the one of the largest government human trafficking task forces in the nation... government, scary work... yes that is what I do!

I truly love my family and friends. My fiance and I are always doing crazy fun activities or traveling... Last year we flew on 58 flights, 6 countries and 10 states ... Well, now we are on a "traveling no more" routine until after the wedding. Apparently, weddings are crazy expensive and traveling that much just doesn't fit into our budget! Ha!

New York this Christmas!

If you're from OC, then you go to Ducks games... Sidenote: As a figure skater, I performed during the Ducks intermission in front of 40,000 people. No bigs.... errrr Yes bigs! It was very fun!

In the Caribbean Spring 2013... Amazing vacation... Ridiculous water!

One of my best friends, Skye, got married and her bachelorette party in Vegas was fabulous! So many girls and lots and lots of fun!!!

We went to Milwaukee and Chicago for baseball and good food. My fiance is obsessed with baseball. and the Brewers... You would again, think Padres because of SoCal... but not my man...
Brewers... I don't understand... lol

Chicago at the Sears Tower, I think like 106 stories up or something insane.

Oh, and I am midly in love with  (adore, thinks she's the bees knees) about Taylor Swift. ;)

And of course, Fall football at my alma mater! Go Trojans! (apologies for the random finger in the photo!)

Oh and I started blogging because I read daily amazing, awesome, funny blogs about girls just like me and I decided to join in and document this exciting year towards marriage and the road ahead!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let's Talk Wedding Makeup

Well, I have been researching on what kind of makeup I want for the wedding and so forth. I would consider myself middle of the road when it comes to make up. Sometimes, I want a day of just moisturizer and nothing else and other days bring on the va-va-voom! But I understand this is the "big day" and I want to look my best.  I have been looking into makeup for my bridesmaids as well. I think I will leave it up to them to take care of their makeup. I trust my girls!

Below are a few wedding day make up inspiration... Well, I guess my inspiration style would definitely be Mrs. Carrie Underwood-Fisher... Those lashes!

This is a little more natural look that I like too....

I have no clue exactly what I want... haha! Decision, decisions!

Lets talk wedding... shall we?

213 days according to The Knot... until we get hitched. Wedding Palooza 2014 in full swing.

To say I am a tad bit overwhelmed would be an understatement. Last night was one of those nights that you secretly know is coming, but truly do not want to face the emotions in the pit of your stomach. I had an emotional melt down over all of the stress of planning and executing a wedding... tears, snot, the hiccuped breathing... all of it. (sexy, I know!) but my boo was right there to wipe the tears (and snot) and tell me that we'd be ok and make it through just fine.

I knew going in to this wedding planning that it would be an over the top experience no matter how I tried to make it as mellow and easy going as possible... It was in inevitable... But even though we are 6 months away, I already feel this huge lump in my throat possibly due to my OCD anal retentiveness or seeing the amounts owed on a few of our venders. Don't get me wrong, I love this whole process, I am looking forward to promising my forever to my absolute my favorite hunk in the whole world.... but is it scary growing up? You 'betcha! I also understand eloping and why it would be a viable options for many people... so brides, wives, elders.... please tell me that it will be all worth it!

Without this post sounds too terribly depressing... Here's a glimpse of what the wedding planning looks like for us!

If you would like to check out our wedding website go here!

That's all.
